Milon is located near the old church of St. Christophe-des-Bardes, perched on the heights of the St. Emilion plateau but a little further down the hill from Clos de la Cure, and is owned by the Bouyer-Arteau family. The vineyard has similar soil structure to Chateau Cheval Blanc - gravel and clay with a proportion of iron-rich deposits - which gives an idea of its pedigree. Chateau les Giraudels de Milon shows soft ripe fruit and smoky gamey edges, it is quite full bodied with a touch of oak, velvety tannins and fine length.
