Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Shiraz is an intense beetroot red with purple hue.
Lifted aromas of aniseed, menthol, fennel, black
pepper and spearmint on the nose with layers upon
layers of complexity with coffee, chocolate and all spice nuances.
The palate shows generosity with elegance and
balance. Ripe raspberry and satsuma plum characters dominate with ‘Middle Eastern’ herbal notes of cumin and paprika playing a supportive role. Finely integrated tannins and oak allow for a wine which can be enjoyed both now and up to 5-10 years.
