Meerlust Red has a medium dark, opaque ruby core with a cerise rim. Intense cassis and mocha show on the nose initially, followed by hints of creamy oak and baking spice with earthiness and a slight minerality. It has a full bodied palate with a lively, natural acidity. Juicy plum and cassis fruit mix with fine silky tannins and finishes with excellent length.
