Stonewell is made from the very best of the superlative Barossa Shiraz vineyards available to Peter Lehmann. The grapes are drawn only from low-yielding vineyards in the drier western areas of the Barossa Valley. These vineyards, some planted well over 100 years ago, produce sparse bunches with tiny berries – small black jewels – the secret of Stonewell Shiraz.
Wonderful depth of colour, intense black centre. A complex bouquet of blackcurrant, tar, aniseed,
and hints of mint. A dense powerful pallet with layers of black fruit, liquorice reigned in with firm tannins. Cellar with confidence for many years to come.

I wouldn't normally buy a full case of wine due to my love of trying new wine, in this case I made an exception. The amount of fruit flavour in this wine is incredible, there is even a hint of violets on the nose. It is very easy to drink and very, very moreish.

Wow! this wine is a real bargain. Loads of fruit, great depth of flavour, good body and a lasting finish. Dont think i've had a better Pinot at this price, certainly had worse for more.
