Harvested from the Cromwell Basin, the grapes selected to make this Stone Paddock Pinot Noir were grown on the hard slate soils surrounding the old goldfields of Central Otago. The site features low vigour soils and good heat retention which allows for the development of full-flavoured and aromatic Pinot Noir grapes. Sweet cherry, plum and wild dried herb notes are evident on the nose, whilst the palate shows up–front flavours of raspberry, earthy tones and fine mineral complexity, balanced with influences of mountain herbs and spicy oak
