12A fresh and aromatic red with an amazing concentration of plum, blackberry, cherry and chocolate flavours backed by a good balance between naturally light and soft tannins and light acidity.
This bold and powerful red from Brindisi is made in a similar way to a Ripasso wine using a portion of dried Primitivo grapes and fermenting the wine a second time on the dried skins.

Our family is a fan of the second fermentation Italian red wines, but of the all the ones we’ve had, this producer remains our favourite. It has deep flavours of blackberries, plums and a little chocolate and gives a really satisfying glow. We used to get the organic or Bio version easily before our (ahem) trading arrangements with Europe changed, which is a great pity because the organic is even nicer, which is why I only gave this four stars instead of 5. If the lovely people at Cheers could source the Bio version that would be fantastic! Otherwise great service as usual.

This is a very drinkable red wine which is quite smooth. Best drunk within 24 hours of opening as it does seem to start losing it's flavour a bit after that time but is still drinkable after that time for another 24 hours. Flavours of plum, blackberry, cherry and chocolate backed by a good balance between naturally light and soft tannins and light acidity as per description.
