Domaine Philippe Raimbault Sancerre Les Godons Rouge
The nose is very nice of dry plums, maturated cherries, and hints of leather and chocolate. The palate holds flavours of cherry and plum with a long finish.
Situated at the heart of the village of Sury-enVaux (5 km from Sancerre) on an terroir of good exposure and characteristic of cretaceous and jurassic formed between 100 to 150 million years. Philippe Raimbault comes from a family of winemakers going back many generations and today he has the good fortune to own vineyards on both sides of the Loire River in the Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé and Coteaux du Giennois appellations.
