Xige Estate is located in the Dove Mountains area of Ningxia, the epicentre of China's burgeoning wine scene. Xige Estate has drawn inspiration from the world's most renowned regions to create wines that are a pure expression of the Helan Mountains terroir. This Malbec has been aged for 12 months in large French oak barrels. It offers rich and vivid aromas of violet, rose and blueberry, with dark fruit flabours and a hint of cocoa. Ningxia's terroir bears some intriguing similaritites to Malbec's new world home, Mendoza, so much so that they embarked on an ambitious planting programme in 2017 because they recognised its huge potential there.
