Magnums Wine

The most common question we have about Magnums are why are they more expensive than two bottles of wine? -  The answer is fairly simple.  Every winery that produces Magnums will probably produce about two to five percent the number of Magnums they do of normal sized bottles.  As a result the cost is much greater.  The labels are bigger, the bottles are more expensive and the corks can also be a different size.  All of these contribute to extra costs which are of course reflected in the selling price.

So why buy in Magnums? - The first reason is the potential ageing of wine in Magnums is amazing.  Visit any winery around the world and they will tell you, the bigger the vessel, the better the wine can age.  Magnums are a great way to do this without getting involved in even bigger, more expensive formats.

The second has to be the wow factor.  Stick a beautiful Magnum of Champagne on the middle of the dinner table next time you have guests round and listen to the reaction.  No matter how many times you see a Magnum of wine, they never fail to impress.

Lastly they are a great way to share wine with good friends and family.  Double the amount of wine equals half the amount of cork pulling which equals more time enjoying good wine, good food and good company.
