We’ve tasted this
This Balblair was distilled in 1991 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail for their Private Collection. The whisky has been finished in a Crozes-Hermitage red wine cask for a rich fruity flavour.
On the nose, peppercorns and hints of strawberry jam. A little pear juice, hints of baking spices, vanilla and blueberry.
On the palate, Vanilla and rich malt. Citrus zest, candied peels and cocoa. Liqueur cherries. Marmalade.
On the finish, Cocoa and toffee apples.
