Courvoisier L'Esprit is one of the Cognac houses' finest expressions. This is one of the rarest, most exclusive and highly sought after cognacs in the world, it was launched in the year 2000 to celebrate the turn of the Millenium.
Presented in an individually numbered, hand-cut, Lalique crystal decanter, only 200 of which were produced. L'Esprit is crafted from the finest eaux-de-vie with vintages reaching as far back as 200 years ago, using a blend of Grande Champagne and Borderies. The youngest cognac in the blend is over 70 years old with others dating back as far as 1802
On the nose are aromas of honeyed fruits and cinnamon. The palate is silky smooth, revealing dominant flavours of dried fruits, particularly apricots. Alongside hints of Christmas cake and honey. Held in the mouth, this grows spicier and nuttier, with hints of orange peel, dark chocolate and spices.
