This is a wine made specifically to show how energetic and drinkable Vinho Verde can be. It’s zesty, fun and bursts out of the glass. We wanted something that stood out and made some noise and that’s what Onda Grande is all about. If you want to know how, then read on, but the short answer is great grapes and a desire to do something a little bit different…. This is a blend of local varieties, Loureiro and Arinto, cultivated in a combination of granite and sandy soils in the Vinho Verde region. Here, winds from the Atlantic Ocean influence the character of the wine. After harvesting the grapes are quickly transported to the winery where they are destemmed, softly pressed and undergo temperature-controlled fermentation.
Onda Grande is a wine with energy. It tastes like afternoons on the terrace, Thursday night socials and weekends at the beach.
