A Spanish winery worth changing plans for. Dafydd first discovered Costers del Sió at a huge wine fair in Ciudad Real, Spain. After tasting with another winemaker, he was told:

"If there is one winery you taste before you leave, make sure you go and taste the wines from Costers del Sió."

So he changed his plans and went to find them. The wines were exceptional. After almost a year of correspondence, we have finally managed to bring them into the UK.

Discover Costers del Sió

Costers del Sió is one of those producers we discovered almost by accident.

While attending a major wine fair in Ciudad Real, Dafydd was tasting with another Spanish winemaker when he was given one very specific recommendation: before leaving, he had to try the wines from Costers del Sió.

That recommendation proved worth following.

After tasting the range and meeting the team behind the winery, we knew these were wines we wanted to bring to Cheers. Almost a year later, they have finally arrived.

The range covers several different styles, from the fresh and approachable Petit Siós Blanco and Tinto, through to the powerful Alto Siós, the organic Siós Nature Syrah, the rich and expressive Cau del Gat, and the fuller, textured Siós Pla del Lladoner.

There is also something a little different: Costers del Sió Extra Virgin Olive Oil, produced from green Arbequina olives.

What links the range is a combination of ripe fruit, freshness and character. These are modern Spanish wines with plenty of personality, made by a producer we were excited enough about to spend nearly a year bringing into the UK.
