Our approach for Tidal Bay is dry and certified Biocyclic Vegan and Organic. The 2024 vintage gave us crisp acidity and tropical aromas of coconut, orange zest and mango with notes of pineapple, mineral and slight saline. A blend of estate L’Acadie Blanc, Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc grown on living soils to showcase our ideal terroir of mineral flavours.

The Vineyard

We planted predominantly L'Acadie Blanc on our estate because we were impressed with its flavours early in our establishment 20 years ago and saw potential of matching unique gravelly terroir of our
estate with sparkling wine. Enhanced minerality and slight saline from ancient seabed schist, sandstone and slate is our own terroir signature and getting more pronounced each year as roots reach deep into living soils teeming with fungal populations to help vines accentuate uptake of nutrients and flavours. A perfect match for a terroir-based wine like Tidal Bay. This year we had a small harvest of Chardonnay and were impressed with structure that it brought to the blend – expect to see more in future vintages.

We've tasted this:

Beautifully aromatic nose. Citrus, orange and pineapple. Super fresh on the palate with great acidity but not overpowering. Loved it. Plus there is a turtle on the label!
