Possibly one of my favourite grape varieties at the moment. A thin skinned variety that needs a lot of care and attention when growing but one that can produce some of the most fantastic wine in the World. Always slightly lighter in colour and texture than most other red grape varieties it can be powerful in terms of flavour when grown somewhere slightly warmer but it can also produce a wine of extreme elegance. World famous examples are grown in the Burgundy region of France but we are seeing amazing examples from places such as Canada, Germany and Chile.
A delicate rosé cava with tasting notes such as violets and roses along with ripe red berries.
