Although Malbec originated in the South West of France, known as Cót, it has definitely found its home in Argentina. Now famous for producing inky dark wines with very ripe fruit flavours, blackberry and cherry and floral aromas such as violets. Some display definite chocolate characteristics too. Look to Mendoza, Salta and Patagonia all in Argentina for some amazing examples of this versatile grape variety.
