Take me to the weekend - this is a 9/10 wine. It is from Jumilla, South East Spain, it's 100% Monastrell, it costs £10.95 but its 14% and it delivers those real big earthy flavours. It will mellow if you let it breathe but this is a straight out of the bottle mini review. On the nose: black fruit, spice and that deep tobacco box aroma; To taste: it's BIG. Not heavy, big. You get some stewed fruit and blackberry but the accompanying liquorice, oak and pepper give this a real earthy and savoury feel. Forget your jam pots, this is for grown ups. It's superbly balanced with a nice long finish. Feliz viernes .
