Bobal

A relatively unheard of grape variety until recently but one that has been around for hundreds of years in Central Spain. We are now seeing a few wineries from the Valencia and Manchuela regions working hard to revive this once almost extinct variety. Can produce Red wines of good power and structure but always with a crunchy, cranberry tartness that is moreish to say the least.
